President remains firm on 5-year tenure
President Ranil Wickremesinghe is firm about the President’s five-year tenure, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said.
Hence, the President has expressed his support for the Election Commission’s decision to hold the Presidential Election in 2024.
Furthermore, President Wickremesinghe had declared that Chamindra Dayan Lenawa had not conferred with him or his attorneys before submitting the Supreme Court determination application concerning the President’s tenure, the PMD added.
