President Ranil Wickremesinghe had said that Sri Lanka is committed to comparable treatment in the debt restructuring process and that a transparent process will be followed.
President Wickremesinghe made the comment while taking part in the launch of the debt restructuring negotiation process on Sri Lanka Thursday in Washington, DC. He took part in the press briefing virtually.
Japan, India and France on Thursday on the sidelines of the Spring Meetings announced the launch of the debt restructuring negotiation process on Sri Lanka.
President Wickremesinghe expressing hope that debt sustainability could be achieved soon said that the International Monetary Fund program will be presented to Parliament for approval shortly.
