The Minister of Trade, Commerce and Food Security Nalin Fernando said that a packet of milk powder is anticipated to drop in price by a sum between Rs. 100 and Rs. 150 with effect from Friday (Mar. 15).
The move comes less than a week after Chairman of the Committee on Public Finance (COPF) Dr. Harsha de Silva raised the question as to why the pricing formula for milk powder was not being implemented.
