The Chief suspect linked to the Murder of a Man in Mahabage area, was arrested today, police Special Task Force (STF) said.
Police said that they carried out investigations to identify one gunmen and an accomplice who shot a 42 year old man near a meat shop at Elapitiwala Junction, Mahabage.
Police explained that the two gun men arrived near the shop and open fired at the man by using a revolver on Wednesday.
The victim who succumbed while being taken to Ragama Hospital was identified as Hettiarachchige Don Sujith who is also known as “Ukkuwa”, the brother-in-law of the criminal gang leader “Welle Saranga”.
He was a resident of North Batagama in Ja-Ela and the owner of the said meat shop.
