A protest was held in Mannar this morning calling for the release of former minister and All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC) Leader Rishad Bathiudeen.
Mr Bathiudeen was arrested last Saturday along with his brother Riyaj Bathiudeen by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on charges of allegedly aiding and abetting the Easter Sunday attackers. They are currently being detained under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) for 90days.
