Trade unions in the state sector including electricity, petroleum, health and postal unions will launch trade union action today (8).

Health workers in Central province will launch a strike tomorrow and in Uva province on Friday over seven demands including salary anomalies, demanding the government to increase the special allowance and fix irregularities in promotions.
Ayurveda hospital staff too will go on strike today.
