With the intervention of the North-western Province Health Ministry, a PCR machine was handed over to the Puttalam Base Hospital this morning (16) by North-western Province Governor Raja Collure.
The machine which is worth rupees six million has a capacity of handling 40 checkups a day and can issue a report in 40 minutes, health authorities said.
