The prevailing island-wide quarantine curfew has been further extended till 4.00am on Tuesday, September 21. President's Spokesman Kingsley Rathnayaka said.
The decision to further extend the prevailing curfew was taken after the COVID-19 Prevention Task Force under President Gotabaya Rajapaksa met this morning to review the situation.
The island-wide quarantine curfew was first imposed on August 20 amid a surge in COVID-19 cases and deaths fueled by the Delta variant.
