Random rapid antigen tests will be conducted in 11 Western province exit points to identify COVID-19 patients leaving the province for the long weekend, Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena said.
He said random tests will be conducted 24/7. Out of 100 tests conducted on Tuesday (12) targeting those travelling long distance in public buses, two persons tested positive for the virus.
Dr. Gunewardena requested the public to spend the weekend indoors and avoid get-togethers, trips, parties and overcrowding at kovils.
