Ranil Wickramasinghe elected as 8th Executive President with 134 votes

Acting President Ranil Wickramasinghe has been elected as the 8th executive president of Sri Lanka with 134 votes. SJB candidate Dullas Alahaperuma received 82 votes. JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake received 3 votes.

Among the total number of 223 votes casted, four were declared invalid while two MPs abstained in the voting process.
