Sri Lanka has recorded more than 1000 COVID-19 cases for the second consecutive day today, as 1451 patients were detected by this evening.
This is the largest number of COVID patients confirmed in a single day, beating yesterday's record of 1111 cases.
Colombo, Gampaha and Kurunegala recorded the highest number of cases reported yesterday.
