The human remains of late Consul General of Sri Lanka in Milan, Visharada Neela Wickremasinghe will be repatriated to Sri Lanka on January 27 (Thursday), the Foreign Ministry said.
The Ministry said it is coordinating the repatriation process in consultation with the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Milan.
Family members of late Consul General Wickramasinghe will receive the remains at the BIA. Ms. Wickremasinghe passed away on January 17 due to a sudden illness at the age of 71.
