The renowned singer Amitha Wedisinghe passed away at 82 this morning, according to family sources.
A ranked artiste of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation, she was known for hits like Ran Dorin Enna Adaren and Senkadagalpura.
The final rites of veteran broadcaster, writer, and lyricist Nirmala de Alwis will be held today at Peradeniya.
