MP Rishad Bathiudeen, who was arrested under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA), has been granted bail by courts in respect of two cases filed against him.
The Fort Magistrate’s Court ordered to release the MP on bail with regard to the case filed against him with regard to the Easter Sunday terror attacks, while the Colombo Chief Magistrate granted bail to the MP in connection with the case filed over the death of a 16-year-old domestic worker employed at his residence.
MP Bathiudeen was barred from leaving the country by the court.
