Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) employees are now staging a protest demonstration at its premises in Colombo demanding their August salary as the present management has not given any assurance to them to pay salaries without delay.
A trade union leader of the SLRC said that they had to stage protests even during the past few months to as the administration has failed to take action to release their monthly payments.
He accused the management of taking measures to cut the salaries of employees while the top level officials of the management are enjoying all perks.
Representatives of the all trade unions vowed to continue their peaceful protest campaign till the release of their normal salaries. (Bandula)
