The Russian cargo flight which would be used to transport ailing tusker Suck Surin (Muthu Raja) to Thailand arrived in Sri Lanka on Friday night.
The duty officer of the Bandaranaike International Airport said the flight model IL-76. Arrived around 11.30 pm
At the zoo the final preparations are put in place as well as safety checks are being made to securely transport the animal to the airport. The flight is at the airport until the crate holding the tusker would be securely hoisted and placed in the flight’s cargo area,
