The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) declared that it was prepared to face any election at any time.
SJB National Organiser and MP Tissa Attanayake told a news conference that there was no internal rift in the party as claimed by sections and in contrary they were prepared to face any election.
“We have already appointed 130 electoral organisers and the grassroot level network is being strengthened. In addition, the ‘Sadhaham Yathra’ programme is co-ordinating its programmes with religious leaders”, he said.
He said in addition a programme known as the ‘Samagi Janapavura’ has been launched to coordinate at polling booth level while trade unions and women’s front organisations are being beefed up.
