The SLFP carried out the preliminary round of interviews yesterday (27) to appoint new district electoral organisers.
The interview board consisted of party leader and former President Maithripala Sirisena, Secretary General of the party Dayasiri Jayasekara, Vice president Mahinda Amarawera, National Organiser Duminda Dissanayake, Senior Vice President of the party Rohana Lakshman and Vice President Shan Wijeyalal de Siva.
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
