The Central Committee of the SLFP met with President Ranil Wickremesinghe and pledged their support to ensure his victory in upcoming presidential election, President’s Media Division said
The SLFP had been divided into three groups with one of them being former president Maithripala Sirisena’s group and Dayasiri Jayasekara’s group.
However the central committee of the SLFP includes Ministers such as Nimal Siripala (Minister of ports, shipping and aviation), Mahinda Amaraweera (Minister of Agriculture), Lasantha Alagiyawanna (State Minister of Transport).
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
