The Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) has set up its own COVID19 intermediate treatment centre to treated any workers infected with the virus, a spokesman for the Ministry of Ports
The centre was opened by the Minister of Ports Rohitha Abeygunawardena in Peliyagoda. The Port is currently only allowing workers who have obtained both vaccines to return to work.
“However in the event of any of the workers getting infected and to ensure that the work at the port continues uninterrupted the facility has been set up”, he said.
