STF arrests ice drug distributor

The Special Task Force (STF) arrested a 28 year old, who is a major ice drug distributor in the Navaladi, Mailankarachchi area in the eastern province.

In a raid conducted by the Special Task Force Vakarai Camp, the suspect was arrested while travelling in a motorbike, in possession of 15g 270mg of ice drug, worth over Rs. 150,000, Rs. 34,500 in cash and two mobile phones.

The suspect, who is a resident of Ottamadavi 01 area, was handed over to the Valaichchenai Police for further investigation.

The raid was conducted by the officers of the STF Vakarai Camp, including the Camp Commander Inspector B. U. S. Wijesinghe and, under the guidance of the Zonal Commanding Officer Assistant Superintendent of Police, M. T. M. Rilwan.
