A man who held illegal custody over grenades, pistols and live ammunition was arrested yesterday (15), police said.
The arrest was made following a tip off made to the Special Task Force (STF) officials attached to a camp at Horana. The suspect was arrested in Iduwara area while having two foreign manufactured grenades, two pistols and 423 ammunition of different types.
The suspect, identified as a 42-year-old man, a resident of Thebuwana area is to be produced before the Kalutara Magistrate today (16). Further investigations are carried out by Thebuwana Police.
