The main gunman who carried out contract shootings on behalf of Underworld gang leader, Nadun Chinthaka alais ‘Harak Kata’ was arrested by STF in Boralesgamuwa.
The arrest came days after Nadun Chinthaka was arrested in Dubai with the help of the Interpol.
Under the supervision of Assistant Superintendent of Police, Mr. Sagara Kulasekara, the STF raided the house of the marksman identified as Prabodha Kumara alias Kadira at Malani Bulathsinghala Mawatha, Boralesgamuwa, a boarding house, where the shooter was staying in, to commit another crime.
The suspect, who was arrested with four live bullets used for the T56 weapon and 17 grams of heroin, was handed over to the Matara Division Crime Investigation Unit for further investigation.
The suspect is wanted for several shooting incidents and cases of rape.
