Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Sabry was sworn in as Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs in place of MP Wijedasa Rajapakshe who resigned from the post on 29 July.
He was sworn in before President Ranil Wickremesinghe this morning. Rajapaksha resigned to contest the September 21 presidential elections.

The price of Lanka Petrol 92 Octane has been reduced by Rs. 5, while the price of Lanka Super Diesel Star Euro 4 has been increased by Rs. 5, from midnight today, October 31, 2025, according to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation.
