State Minister Sanath Nishantha has been suspended from attending Parliament for two weeks from today (22) due to his unruly behaviour inside the Chamber yesterday, Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena informed the House this morning.
Making an announcement at the commencement of the sittings, the Speaker said he condemned yesterday's unruly incidents and was taking action against Mr Nishantha using powers vested with him under Standing Order 146.
