A search operation has been launched to trace two fishermen who have been reported missing going out to sea on Sunday (21).
The two missing fishermen, aged 27 and 34 years are residents of Kalpitiya. They had put out to sea on their fishing boat from the Sinnakudirippu lagoon in Kalpitiya. However, a complaint was lodged with the Kalpitiya Police stating that they had failed to return.
A joint operation has been launched by the Kalpitiya Police and Navy personnel to locate the missing fishermen.
