The government has declared Monday, September 19 as a special for government offices on account of the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government has conveyed this through a letter to government institutions.
However, the Secretary has stressed that the special holiday should not cause a hinderance to the delivery of essential services of the government.
Earlier, the government had declared September 19 as a day of national mourning in view of the Queen's funeral.
