Sri Lankan author Shehan Karunatilaka's novel "The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida" has been shortlisted for the 2022 Booker Prize.
His book is one of six that have been shortlisted for the prestigious prize this year.
This is the second straight year that a Sri Lankan author has been shortlisted for the Booker Prize. Anuk Arudpragasam's novel "A Passage North" was shortlisted for the prize last year.
