Showers over the island is expected reduce from tomorrow ,February 2, 2025, the Meteorology Department said.
According to the department a few showers will occur today in Uva province and in Batticaloa, Ampara, Matale, Nuwara-Eliya and Hambantota districts.
Alos misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western and Southern provinces during the morning.
In the evening or night showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara and Kandy districts as per the weather forecast.
The Meteor department called the public to take adequate precaution to minimize the damages during the temporary localized winds and lightning during the thunderstorm.
