Minister of Ports, Navigation and Aviation Nimal Siripala de Silva has invited Singaporean investors for the development of the Colombo North Port.
Minister de Silva was on an observation tour recently to investigate the operations and the development of Singapore’s main port.
During the tour, the Minister had discussions with the head of the PSA International Pvt Company which carries out the operations and development of the Singapore port.
Mr Won Chee Fung, CEO of the Company’s Middle East and South Asia, said if there are investment opportunities for development and operations in the Ports of Sri Lanka, they would like to apply for them.
Minister de Silva, presenting the facts said that since the current government has planned to start the development of the North Colombo Port, a sustainable investment plan and a proposal should be provided for it.
The Minister requested the heads of PSA International Pvt Co. to provide a suitable proposal for the development of the Trincomalee Port.
