A stock of 60,000 cigarettes illegally imported to the country valued over 5 million rupees has been taken in to custody by the Police Special Task Force.
Police have also taken in to custody two people aged 44 and 46 and residents of Beruwala and Mt Lavinia, along with the van they were transporting the contraband.
The raid has been carried out in a land belonging to Rabeena Company on Kalyani Road in the Wattala Police area.
