A 29-year-old son and a 14-year-old daughter were hacked to death by their father in Ampara this morning, police said.
The father who then attempted to commit suicide by using the same weapon used on the children was admitted to the Kalmunai Hospital for critical treatment.
Police said that both children were differently abled.
