Speaker (Dr.) Jagath Wickramaratne to announced to the Parliament regarding the vacant seat created in Parliament due to the resignation of Mohamed Sali Naleem from his position as a Member of Parliament.
The resignation letter submitted by Naleem was read out by the Secretary-General of Parliament, Mrs. Kushani Rohanadeera.
The letter stated that the Member of Parliament is resigning from his position in order to contest in the upcoming Local Government Election.
He was elected to the Tenth Parliament from the National List, representing the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress.
