Speaker endorses the certificate on Ayurveda (Amendment) Bill
Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana endorsed the certificate on the Ayurveda (Amendment) Bill yesterday (09).
The Ayurveda (Amendment) Bill, presented for the purpose of amending the Ayurveda Act No. 31 of 1961, was passed in Parliament with amendments on the 5th of September, without a vote.
Accordingly, the said Bill will be in effect as the Ayurveda (Amendment) Act No. 19 of 2023 from yesterday.
