Sri Lanka has decided to lift the ban on travellers entering the country from June 1.
Civil Aviation Authority Chairman Upul Dharmadasa has stated that the government has decided to lift the temporary restriction imposed on inbound travellers to Sri Lanka effective June 1.
Restriction for passengers who have been to India within the last 14 days will continue until further notice.
The notice further states that inbound travellers will be “mandatorily quarantined” as per the health regulations in a Level 1 hotel for 14 days irrespective of the type or number of doses of vaccine that travellers have obtained.
Although Sri Lankan passport holders and dual citizens do not require approval to land approval is required for foreign nationals, seafarers, business, investment-based visitors.
All passengers are to adhere to the quarantine procedures, the statement said. (SD)
