Israeli Police have confirmed that the Sri Lankan woman missing since the Hamas attacks on October 7 is dead.
Posting an update on Facebook, Sri Lanka's Ambassador to Israel Nimal Bandara said that the International Division of the Israel Police Department confirmed this morning (17) that Anula Ratnayake, (Jayathilaka) who was a resident of Kelaniya Eriawatiya area, and who went missing after the Hamas attack on Israel on the 7th, died during the attack.
Her remains are to be handed over to the Sri Lanka Embassy within two days, he further added.
"We will arrange to send the remains to the family members of the deceased as soon as the relevant arrangements are completed," Mr Bandara said.
