In October Sri Lanka recorded 135,907 tourist arrivals marking a nearly 25 per cent increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) records show that 1,620,715 tourists had arrived in the country from January 1 to October 31, 2024.
The figures surpass the total arrivals of tourists for the entire last year, which was 1,487,303.
A total of 36,417 Indian tourists arrived last month.
