SriLankan Airlines is ceasing flights to Bahrain operated under flight numbers UL 201 and UL 202 with effect from May 12, the airline said on Saturday without give any reasons for the move.
The statement was issued as a clarification as an internal notice by the airline had created some confusion over all its flights to other destinations.
“We would like to clarify that the airline is only ceasing flights between Colombo and Bahrain SriLankan’s operations to other destinations within its online network will continue without any change, and any reports stating otherwise are incorrect and based on an internal company notice that was circulated in Bahrain which contained an ambiguous title,” it said.
