A special operation conducted by the Navy and Police in Thikkam, Jaffna led to the apprehension of a suspect with 6kg and 141g of Kerala cannabis last week.
The search made way to the recovery of 6kg and 141g of Kerala cannabis which had been in 03 packages hidden in the house. The raiding party also nabbed a suspect at the location, in connection to the incident, Navy said.
The operation was conducted adhering to health guidelines and the suspect held in it was identified as a resident of Thikkam, aged 44. The suspect together with Kerala cannabis was handed over to the Point Pedro Police for onward legal proceedings.
