The Tamil Makkal Viduthalai Pulikal (TMVP) today pledged support to President Ranil Wickremesinghe for the upcoming Presidential elections.
President Wickremesinghe during a visit to the Eastern province today met with the TMVP leader Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan in Batticaloa.
The TMVP leader pledged support to the President for the upcoming elections at the meeting while the President also met with supporters of the TMVP.
Meanwhile Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan alias Karuna is also supporting President Wickremesinghe.
Today he was in the Southern province and attended a UNP meeting presided over by Wajira Abeywardena today.
