The meeting that was scheduled to be held today evening between President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Tamil National Alliance (TNA) delegation was postponed at the last minute by the Presidential Secretariat, a spokesperson from TNA said.
Earlier TNA said that the forthcoming meeting with the President was to discuss proposed Constitutional reforms and ways of taking that process forward
TNA has already sent its proposals for Constitutional Reform to the Expert Committee appointed by the President last December and thereafter met the Committee at their invitation in February this year.
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
Update: Five of the twelve passengers on board the bell 212 aircraft that crashed into the Maduru Oya today, have succumbed to their injuries, the SLAF said.
