A 17-year-old youth has been stabbed to death in Grandpass yesterday allegedly following a dispute over a TikTok video, police said.
Police said the victim, a resident of Wellampitiya, had been on his way towards the Randiya Uyana Housing Complex with two others when they were followed by another group of persons known to the victim. The group had then allegedly stabbed the victim with a knife due to a dispute that had arisen between them over a TikTok video.
The victim succumbed to his injuries while being treated at the Colombo National Hospital.
The assailants had thereafter fled the area. Grandpass Police are conducting investigations to arrest them.
