At least 10 persons were killed in road accidents on Sunday in different parts of the country, Police said.
Among those killed were a two-year child and his grandfather in an accident in Helaboda, Pussellawa on Sunday.
Four persons were also injured in the incident when their van ran off the road.
Police said that a couple of accidents were reported in the upcountry area vehicles had skidded off the road.
Police have appealed to the public to be cautious while driving on roads during this period.
