During a search operation, the Navy arrested five suspects along with 13 water gel sticks that were to be used for illegal fishing.
Also, a dinghy boat used by the suspects was also seized by the Navy.
The arrested suspects were identified as residents of Mannar between the ages of 24 and 41. The suspects, along with the water gel sticks and the dinghy, were handed over to the Mannar Police for onward legal action.
