Thirty nomination papers submitted for councils in Colombo District
Colombo District Secretary said that 176 independent groups and recognized political parties have made their deposits for local government elections 2025, today.
According to District Secretary, Ginige Prasanna Janaka Kumara deposits have been placed for five Municipal council’s five urban councils and three Pradeshiya Sabahs.
Thirty nomination papers have been submitted to the District Secretariat as of today.
Nominations are scheduled to be closed after 12:00 PM tomorrow (20) and objections will be accepted from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
