Three Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) have been transferred with immediate effect, Police said.
In a press release, Police said the transfers have been made on service requirements and have obtained approval from the Public Service Commission.
SSP A.S.P.C. Wedamulla has been transferred from the post of Director of Police K9 Division and will be assuming duties as the SSP for Badulla division.
SSP J.A.K. Jayasinghe has been transferred from the Police Human Rights Division to Bandarawela police division where he will serve as the SSP in charge of Bandarawela.
SSP I.W.G.R. Kandewatte will assume duties as the Director of the Kalutara Crimes Division. He was the SSP in charge of Badulla police division.
