A woman whose body was found among three persons dead in a house that was burnt in a fire in Sinhapura Chilaw had cut injuries on her neck, police has revealed.
The villagers in the area had alerted the police today morning after they found the house engulfed in a fire.
Police backed by the fire brigade and villagers controlled fire within an hour and a search was carried out in the house.
They found the husband and wife and their 15 year old daughter dead inside the house.
The woman employed in the Divisional Secretariat was found dead on the ground floor with cut injuries in the neck.
The 51 year old husband, found dead, was a land sale dealer.
Further investigations are underway.
