Three shipments of crude oil by June 2024

A government decision was made to purchse three shipments of crude oil during January 15 to June 6 next year.

Cabinet members approved the proposal submitted by the Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera.

Customs seize Rs. 119 Mn worth of cigarettes and whisky hidden in furniture shipment

In a major detection at the Ceylon Shipping Lines (CSL) warehouse in Colombo 09, Sri Lanka Customs officers uncovered a large consignment of contraband cigarettes and whisky concealed within a shipment declared as household furniture and personal goods.
