Three month old male tiger cubs were introduced to the public for the first time at the Dehiwala Zoological gardens today.
The Director-General of the Zoo, Thilak Premakantha said that three cubs which were born on March five were the offspring of two tigers brought from China in 2009.
He added the male tiger named “Robin” fathered the cubs while tigress “Kella” gave birth to the cubs three months back. Mr Premakantha said that both parents of tigers were brought to the zoo while they were two years old. (Pix by Indika Handuwala)
