Three-wheeler users have been requested to register their vehicles at their respective area police station and to nominate one fuel station before July 31, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara said in a tweet.
He added that three-wheelers will only be allowed to obtain fuel fron their registered fuel station from August 1.
He also requested all users of garden equipment, generators and other equipment requiring fuel to register their requirements in their respective Divisional Secretariats with their weekly fuel requirements and to nominate one fuel station to obtain the requirement.
Meanwhile, vehicle users that cannot register with the chassis number will be able to register with the revenue license from Friday. Users of 49CC bikes have to register with the Department of Motor Traffic to obtain their licenses & register with the national fuel pass, the minister further said.
